  • Ciampino is the Roman crag par excellence. Made using the old Roman leucitite quarry used to produce the San Pietrini, it is located in a beautiful area adjacent to the Appia Antica. Although the routes are short, given its proximity to the city, it is very popular with local climbers.

  • Access: Follow the SS Appia until you take via di fioranello to the right, the turning point is located after about 1 km from the ring road. Once you have taken via di Fioranello, go along it for about 100m until you reach the ancient Appian road.

You can park on Via di Fioranello:
ATTENTION: PARKING ON THE ANCIENT APPIA IS FORBIDDEN. A FINAL OF 93 € WILL BE APPLIED TO OFFENDERS.

Once parked, take the Appia Antica on the left, walk past a little ruined wall, walk a little and reach a huge quarry where the cliffs are.
