  • The climbing crag is formed by a calcarenitic rock that alternates more compact stretches to far from solid portions characterized by blocks interlocked between them. Even the portions of currently solid rock often present themselves in bricks, which signal an erosion in progress that will lead over the millennia to their detachment. The ideal climbing period is from May to October. In the summer it is good to get a product that takes away mosquitoes. During the hot summer days the climate in the canal remains quite cool and allows you to climb in the shade during the afternoon. With the autumn rains the walls ooze water for several days. Even in winter it is possible to climb especially in the morning.
  • Access: The cliff can be reached along the Marecchiese in the direction of Rimini - Verucchio. Once you have passed Villa Verucchio, turn right into Ponte Verucchio. After crossing the bridge over the Marecchia turn left in the vicinity of an Oven and follow the road that runs along the river until you meet the ruins of a mill on the right at the foot of the Sanctuary. Continue on foot for 200 meters on the biancorosso path that starts behind the big white cross.
