  • For more correct and precise use of the crag

ATTENTION: WE ARE IN PRIVATE PROPERTY
The very kind owners (Fratelli Sacristano) give us the right of way, so be respectful of the fund not only leaving clean the area but also keeping an appropriate tone of voice.
  • Access: The cliff of Letters is the cliff of Naples, just 25 minutes from the city, overlooking Mount Vesuvius a few miles from Pompeii and its archaeological wonders

Also important from the archaeological and historical point of view the town of San Nicola (Lettere, Naples ) is right near the Castle of Letters, a rampart of medieval architecture with many testimonies neomoresche and Amalfi (guided tour or free bookable at number 3338552832).
The area is also known for its many panoramic accommodations, for good food (pizzas and panuozzi above all) primary source of the local economy.

Opposite access to the crag is the Fontaniere restaurant of Calabrese: moderate prices, good and "paesani" dishes, great courtesy of the staff Telephone: 081 802 1111

The ideal time to climb to Letters is Spring and Autumn, the exposure to the north makes the climb cool and pleasant even in the hot months, as long as there is not too much humidity. Fantastic summer sunsets, with the gleam of the plain illuminated by millions of lights in a continuous billions of stars vertically
  • Gear: All the routes have been opened by Francesco Galasso (Vertical Management) in Self-financing

Who will recognize the indispensable work done by the nailers?
A work made even more noble and precious by its nature almost always free and voluntary.
If today you can climb with wide margins of security throughout Italy, it is almost exclusively due to the work of these volunteers.
