The cliffs spread over a beautiful white tower called Torrione di Val Realba that stands out above Lake Como. The rock is very solid and a nice variety of itineraries make this cliff very attractive. The rappels and ropers require some experience, so pay attention. We thank the portal: http://larioclimb.paolo-sonja.net/falesie_lecco/realba/ - Lario Climb source of a part of the material. The portal of Paolo Vitali and Sonia Brambati hosts many other Lecchese cliffs and updates.
Access: For those coming from Lecco, follow the lakefront towards Colico. After about 5 km on the right you can park in a small parking area (on the opposite side of the highway, just before the pitch there is the Centrale "Guzzi" owned by Enel). To access the turret it is obligatory to retrace about 100 meters of highway (attention!), Go under the railway bridge and follow the track that bends to the right towards the obvious tower.
- Crag: Realba
- N. Routes: 19
- Level: 4c/7b
- Height: 350 mt.
Exposure: From autumn to spring, including winter from late morning; the area is very ventilated and the rock dries visibly.
- Gear: Good to fix; stops with resin and chains set for the descents. Recommended 2 strings of 50m; enough even the single 70, but paying much attention. 'The classic routes (including the Diedro del Buita, the Lama, the Normal) are opened in the' 70s by climbers Mandellesi. Around 1984 / '85 Carlo Besana, Valerio Casari, Renee Comin, Lele Dinoia and Ivano Zanetti equipped some spit routes (Sveltina, Morlach's, Rif-Raf, Fafifurni), finally in 1996 Davide Trincavelli and Fabio Camerini of the Corvi Alpinistic Group - CAI Grigne Mandello retool the crag.
