Thanks to the work of Merlo Pietro, Casarino Andrea, Cabella Carlo and Rivara Gian Paolo, this beautiful Falesia has been discovered and bolted since 2003. The Cliff is formed by a sand bar of about 120 m long with a height ranging from 8 to 14 m. The whole cliff is crossed by horizontal cracks that run through it throughout its development. The shape of the wall offers a choice of inclinations between the resting plate and the overhang with a slope of 30 °, in most cases the routes are equipped with resin-coated stainless steel nails; at the stops it is necessary to make a maneuver; Sockets have been dug in different ways. On the left side of the cliff there is the possibility to follow a crosspiece, with feet a few cm from the ground, about 50m long. La Scogliera is exposed to the south, in the winter months the presence of a hill facing the cliff limits its exposure to the sun, up to three in the afternoon.
Access: From the Ovada motorway exit, follow the signs for Belforte and then for Gavi. After passing the town of Parodi L. continue until the Church of San Remigio located on the left side of the road, then turn left and continue on a dirt road (always straight without turning left) for over a km, overcome the disordered houses of the mill of the fate and after about 200m you reach the crag. From Gavi take the road that leads to Cadepiaggio - Parodi L. pass the village of Cadepiaggio, the cemetery, then near the Church of San Remigio turn right and continue on the dirt road for about one km (always straight without turning left ), go past the shacks of the mill of fate, after about 200m you reach the cliff "La Scogliera". '' From the parking of the cliff continue inside the valley of the albedosa up to a junction next to a ford on the stream. ' Follow the road to the left for a few meters and then turn right to the albedosa up to the torrent and the wall of the "Titanic". It is also possible to reach the wall by means of a steel cable suspended on the albedosa, the cable is located about 50m after the second fork.
Gear: Merlo Pietro, Casarino Andrea, Cabella Carlo and Rivara Gian Paolo are the nailers, for better or for worse, of the crag. 'The discovery took place in the spring of 2003, the cleaning of the wall constituted the longest and most difficult phase of the whole project; the right side of the Reef is not yet fully equipped, about a dozen medium-high level routes are planned.
