Monte Sant Angelo
alesia di Monte Sant'Angelo - La Corvara sector: good and compact limestone wall, fully equipped with 316L stainless steel bolts and stops. Climbing requires good stamina and a good rock reading which can often be deceiving. Currently there are 7 routes with grades for everyone: from 5b to 7a. The cliff is located in the municipality of Vairano Patenora guarding the small medieval village that extends into the valley of the Volturno river, between the Matese massif and the Roccamonfina-Foce Garigliano regional park. According to legend, the village would be frequented by the ghost of King Charles II of Anjou, known as the lame, who was a guest of the castle several times.

Access: Park your car near the pass, take the small road that goes down just after the enclosed concrete hut, cross the red bar and continue along an easy path until you reach the base of the walls on the left. Panoramic view over the whole village and the castle of Vairano Patenora and over the whole Volturno valley.
