  • The Falesia della Trappa is a beautiful gneiss cliff located on the eastern side of Monte Bracco near the Certosa della Trappa. It has walls another 30 meters full of natural holes. It is divided into two sectors: Maga Magó facing north-east and the dry Tana sector facing east.

  • Access: A few hundred meters below the Certosa buildings, along a recently refurbished downhill path, we meet the 'Maga Magò' sector characterized by a fairly articulated and fairly developed wall, where a dozen pitches were opened in the 1990s. , by Rio Celso (aka Cis) and friends. Continuing on the path, first in a steep descent, then on a slight slope, you reach Tana Asciutta, an imposing amphitheater of light-colored rock protected at the top by a large sloping roof, which however does not allow you to climb even when it rains (pity!)

  • Beauty:
  • Exposure: The crag, wrongly, is not very popular, perhaps due to the exposure (North-East), which is ideal in the summer, and particularly in the afternoon (a good alternative to other crags); it also climbs well in mid-seasons.
  • Gear: In the years 1990-2000 Rio and his friends made a dozen interesting and fairly hard pitches that run along the walls, overhangs and slabs of this face. Recently (from 2018 onwards), both sectors have been completely cleaned and re-bolted by Federico Marcellino and Donato Lella. The extensive cleaning work made it possible to better re-evaluate the existing itineraries and offered the possibility of bolting numerous new single pitches.

  • Biblio: The guide 'Falesie del Monviso - Parussa - Bergese' reports these cliffs, unfortunately the information regarding the single pitches and the drawings are not to be taken into consideration because they are incorrect!

  • Logistic: Many itineraries have a length of around 30-35 meters, so it is recommended to bring 18 quickdraws. Minimum 70m rope!
