Passi Di Danza

  • Crag inaugurated in 2021 Immediately to the right of the PROMESSE NEL SOLE crag, the wall continues with a series of steep slabs that end where the channel closes.

  • Access: From Lecco follow the lakeside towards Colico-Sondrio out of the city. After about 2 km, before entering the new SS36, turn right under the railway arches and continue along the road until the end of the slight slope. Leave the car just before a viaduct (so as not to hinder the parking of the residents of the houses further on). Following the signs upstream, go up the steep track, which then goes left and enters the gravel bed of a dry stream. Climb past the rockfall nets, reaching open ground. Just before the big wall, turn left and follow a steep path, at the top of which after 50 meters you will find 'La Piramide', the first sector of the Pungitopo cliff. Just beyond the latter, go up along a winding track almost to PROMESSE NEL SOLE. A branch of the path to the right leads to the cliff. 20 minutes.

  • Gear: Excellent at fix. Great cleaning and nailing work by Alessandro Ronchi, Flavio De Stefani, Pietro Cesana and Dante Riva, completed in April 2021. The structure takes its name from Passi di danza, a route opened from below and with traditional nails in the early years' 80 from 1900 by Tiziano Capitoli, F. Poratelli, Ivano Zanetti. 55m, V / VI + and two sections of VII + (cit. Lario Climb.)

  • Rock: Excellent rock with notches, rounded holes and blades, but often lacking in good supports for the feet. Climbing is therefore very technical and movement, sometimes with short, more intense sequences.

  • Logistic: Important note: base not easy on various pitches but with the possibility of belaying on the wall. the path passes under the vertical of a canal that opens at 200m from the ground, which the strong storms transform into a large waterfall. Furthermore, stone discharges can fall from the walls above the cliff. Avoid the area after heavy rain or snow, and on days of strong wind. Helmet is recommended; do not park too far from the walls.
