PULO DI ALTAMURA VIE ESISTENTI

  QRCODE

  • The Pulo di Atamura was the first rock gym in southern Italy, its walls have seen speleologists and climbers try new techniques and make daring evolutions, on the wide vaults of the caves were made the first overhanging throws and the first equipped routes systematically to spit. Here the first fixes appeared, hsa and resin eyelets and unfortunately also the first among the few sockets excavated in Puglia. Laboratory of gesture and pure difficulty presents short and intense itineraries from 4c to 8a +. Since 2000 it has been practically abundant due to the lack of contacts with the managers of the protected area and the archaeological oasis, currently thanks to the work of the PNV and the contributions of RocciaeResina, the crag with more than 60 itineraries is returning to repopulate climbers.
The Pulo is a huge karst depression 80 meters deep and 500 wide and is an Oasis of Protection, the climbing period is regulated by the Hunting Calendar, consult it.
