La Sportiva "Total Look" goes on ISPO

The La Sportiva "Total Look" goes on stage at the 2016 edition of the ISPO trade show in Munich

The Munich winter sports fair is back (from 24th to 27th January 2016), the annual event in which brands present their new products for the coming 2016/17 winter season and La Sportiva is ready to surprise the public yet again with innovations on all fronts: A "Total Look ". From clothing to ski mountaineering boots a complete range of ski equipment, winter footwear and accessories: innovations that aim to strengthen the world leadership position in the OutDoor market for a company that in recent years has gone from being a footwear manufacturer to a brand.

In winter, La Sportiva is a synonym for ski mountaineering and further innovation is in store for this market sector from the brand from Ziano di Fiemme thanks to the technical and aesthetic restyling of the collection of 4 buckle boots: Spectre 2.0 and Sparkle 2.0 are presented with new colours and aesthetic lines and alongside the new graphic appeal, the boots feature a level of binding compatibility which was hitherto unseen on the market, allowing them to be used with 3 different types of binding, and the exclusive S3 Technology ™ (Safety, Stability, Stay-in) developed in collaboration with Skitrab for safety while skiing and maximum compatibility with Trab TR2 bindings .
The collaboration with the Ski Trab brand continues and extends from boots to skis that are now designed and created in the Val di Fiemme - Bormio axis to provide the market with the added value of the "designed and made in Italy" label. The new ski collection will carry the double brand name of La Sportiva / Skitrab with the aim of providing ski mountaineers with the best possible technology and perfect compatibility with the TR2 security system. The models, familiar to those world of skialp: Gara, Aero, Maestro, Maximo, Altavia, incorporate exclusive La Sportiva graphics.

There has also been an Important technical restyling of the top class race boot, Stratos, which has now reached its fourth edition with the Stratos Hi-Cube, now official after a year of testing on the international skialp competitions scene thanks to athlete Damiano Lenzi, who won the World Cup Ski Mountaineering 2015 with Hi-Cube at his feet. Made entirely of carbon fibre with the exclusive bullet-proof technology that makes it sturdy and powerful, it has been further lightened and the shell now weighs only 450 grams, a figure that is unrivalled on the market.
The growth of the ski mountaineering market comes not only from the world of racing, but is also linked to training: Skialp is increasingly seen as a keep fit activity practised in the middle of nature, especially at night after a hard day’s work. Thus arises the need for new innovative product concepts, designed specifically for training. It is precisely for this type of specific market that La Sportiva offers the most important innovation in the Ski mountaineering Apparel line, with the Training Capsule Collection that consists of an outfit for man and one for the woman structured on 3 lightweight products, with reflective details for night-time use, quick-drying and body mapping: the Sleeveless Hustle Vest, the Devotion Pant trouser and the Task Hybrid Jacket: a concentrate of technicality that summarizes its vocation in the concepts of devotion, commitment and sacrifice demanded by training, at whatever level.

The 5-layer system developed by La Sportiva for the ski mountaineer also boasts new materials and technologies such as the exclusive Tech Stretch Pro Guard 200/ i ™ fabric used on the new Mid-Layers, the innovative Spirex ™ construction that allows exceptional thermal and high breathability qualities thanks to the use of the Primaloft Silver MR and the 3 layers construction method on Soft Shells and Insulation Jackets, and the inclusion in the collection of EKS yarns from the Italian company PonteTorto® and BeCool® for Base layers in direct contact with the skin. The historical partnership with Gore-Tex has also been renewed by updating the aesthetics and colour chrome of the bestseller Active Shell, Storm Fighter GTX and with the addition of women's pants Thunder GTX.
The collection closes with the footwear line thanks to the inclusion of important new Gore-Tex features: TX4 GTX is in fact the new product in the Approach category dedicated to approach routes to the cliffs that completes the Traverse X line launched at OutDoor 2015. Novelties are in store for the classic Trango range too, which sees the arrival of Trango TRK leather, a modern and advanced hiking boot, with leather uppers, one of the novelties for this summer within the greatly appreciated hiking / backpacking range.
An evolutionary leap forward in terms of technology at the service of the winter sports enthusiast, that harmoniously combines technicality, comfort and aesthetics in a constantly evolving Winter Mountainware collection, that is constantly renewed in terms of design and colour with new shades of blue, yellow papaya and mustard, red ,berry and rust that blend perfectly with the carryover of the collection on the market today. Not forgetting the ecological and ethical aspects: The La Sportiva clothing collection boasts products that are entirely certified by the Bluesign® standard of socio-environmental respect.

La Sportiva completes the range with a new line of accessories ranging from gloves for ski mountaineering in Polartec Alfa, to ski poles and carbon helmets..
"Constantly picking up market signals, La Sportiva is proactive to anything that can help meet the demands of mountain enthusiasts: performance and light weight, yes, but also security" - says Lorenzo Delladio, CEO of the company in Ziano di Fiemme . "La Sportiva is making its transformation from an outdoor shoe manufacturer to an 360 degree brand, and we are proud of how the market is welcoming this development."
Never-ending Commitment and passion, always and everywhere. That’s what the company’s former president who died last June, Francis Delladio kept repeating, it is what is inherent in the DNA La Sportiva.
