• The area of Borgone is characterized by a rock of very hard gneiss type granite and typical reddish color, here we find the style of climbing typical of granite, then cracks, corners and very sharp corners, or incredibly smooth plates that at most have some cleats horizontal. The most important crags in the area are two, the first is the Cava, about fifty meters high with two-pitch routes, where most of the first pitches can be covered with ropes (60 m rope) and another one called Rocca Pen, about 100 m high with routes of 3 or 4 pitches where the technical plaque and adherence style prevails. There is still a third noteworthy crag, called "The Book", because of its shape very similar to an open book, here we find a dozen medium-high difficulty routes 7c - 8A.

  • Access: Coming from Turin, after reaching the town of Borgone (Banca S. Paolo) turn right, pass the railway level crossing, go straight on a paved road uphill, cross a bridge and continue on a paved road between stone walls, reach the parking place at the base of the wall. No approach.
